just finished to see Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, my very first anime (i dont really “loved” anime before, but i think i’ve just changed my mind). the human mind is full of wonders, and this story is so different and unusual, that i start to understand why the anime is so popular. at this moment i cant even describe all the things that are passing by my mind, but one is certain: this piece of - at the first sight simple and childish - art, has touched and upset my soul.
"There are lines you don’t cross even if crossing them offers you endless might"
“Chaos is beauty, and music is chaos. Math is the most vulgar way to describe the universe. Kierkegaard’s last words were, “sweep me up”. Dreams are life. Music is life. Art is life. Live to create. Confront the familiar. Society is a fraud, so complete and banal that it demands to be destroyed beyond the power of memory to recall its existence. If the world that we are forced to accept is false and nothing is true, then everything is possible. Did I mention I am an idiot?”—"Waking Life", Richard Linklater.
that’s one of the most beautiful songs ever written. it’s on my top 10 ever since the first time i heard it. seriously. it’s freaking stunning. just close your eyes… and let the music take you somewhere… (personally, i feel the warmth and the welcoming of “somewhere” in Italy). it’s like you’ve been walking for a long long time, and finally, you’re home, where everyone waited for you, and all are so happy to see you. and there’s a large table with good food, and all your family and friends are there… you see the oldies chatting and joking, the adults enjoying the company and a lot of kids… there’s a beautiful garden, a stream and a little lake, where kids are playing and splattering the clear and tepid water, and the everyone has a smile on their face, and a genuine happiness is overwhelming… and you are at home. you don’t have to walk anymore. you are finally at home.
